Phoenix X 916

We love the Phoenix X and stay there for every vacation. This particular unit (916) was a little disappointing. First, the floors were not clean. There was trash under the tv cabinet and under the bed in the master br. My one year old grandson was filthy from crawling on the floor. There were a few bugs that he also found. The rug under the coffee table was pretty gross as well. Lots of hair. There was no vacuum in the unit so we just dealt with it. If the cleaning staff had done a better job my review would’ve been much better. Lastly, the outdoor furniture on the balcony needs to be replaced. It’s corroded and huge chunks of black paint were coming off of it. My grandson couldn’t stay on the balcony because he’s at the age where everything goes in his mouth. A few minor adjustments and this condo could be perfect.

The condo was spacious with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. Loved the access to parking ! The cleaning crew needs to do better the floors were not mopped clean as if you walked barefoot the bottoms would be black. Also the dryer was not drying at all probably needs repairs. But we’d stay again.

This rental was perfectly located, beach all day and music all night at Flor-a-Bama both within walking distance. Chair rentals for the beach were close and convenient and there was plenty of room for four of us to stay comfortably. Would absolutely rent this unit again!

Beautiful condo. It had everything we needed! The only reason I wouldn’t give it a 5 star is because the balcony doors where sometimes impossible to open. If I were an eldery person, I wouldn't have been able to open them at all. Everything else was great!

The view and condo was great but the unit was dirty with dishes not being clean and out up. The indoor pool was down while we were there and the outdoor had problems as well.The b3ach on the other hand was great, but on my forst day of vacation I didn't want to spend it cleaning the condo up, specially when you pay a cleaning fee. Also the dryer never dried clothes, we would have to run the dryer several times for it to finally dry the clothes.

The Phoenix X property is in a beautiful location on the beach. It isn’t the quietest location because it adjoins to the FloraBama bar on the left. Our party didn’t mind this at all, but the noise from the bands do carry over to the balconies of the rooms on the same side. We noticed it the most during the day when we would sit on our balcony for lunch. Our room was unit 916. The overall furnishing and condition of the room were only acceptable. The paint on the kitchen cabinets was severely chipped on every cabinet door, the dishwasher had a foul smell, the furnishings in the living room had seen better days, and the sliding glass doors in the living room were filthy. They had handprints and some type of yellow substance smeared all over them. The shower in the bathroom adjoining the bedroom with the king size bed was very slow to drain and when walking on the tile floors throughout the condo, your feet would get very dirty. We did have very positive aspects of our stay. One of our party is an exterminator by profession, and there were no signs of any sort of bugs. The linens on the beds and our towels were incredibly clean. The condo had a beautiful view and the deck fit the four adults in our room comfortably. Both of the pools, indoor and outdoor, were maintained nicely and had plenty of seating around them. The outdoor grills and sinks were a huge plus as our party, which was large and staying in 5 separate condos, had plenty of room to congregate and grill together for dinner one evening. The staff were always around working on keeping floors, pools, communal areas, etc clean. We were at first a little annoyed by the wrist bands which were required on property, but quickly realized they were shoes necessary to make sure that everyone using the pools and amenities was staying there. Our satisfaction with the stay as a whole was fairly high, but there were specifics that could’ve been corrected to elevate our stay and make it 5 stars.

We have always stayed at Phoenix X. This condo was dirty when we got there. Huge pile of dust on ceiling fans, toothpaste from previous occupants on the sink faucets and mirror, hair in second bathroom tub. Just felt gross! Was disappointed in it especially how much you pay for these places to stay.

We rented two units and had a wonderful stay.

The condo has a great view from the balcony. We enjoyed the beach and going to Florabama.

The condo location is great, overlooking the beach. Right next to Florabama. The pool area is super nice with plenty of space and grills. The condo has some wear and tear on the walls, but expected. Both bedrooms had ample storage and space. Would stay again for sure.

The property is fine but definitely shows signs of aging, the couch is sunken in, paint on cabinets, doors and trim are scratched up and one of the cabinet shelves look like it was about to give. We also had an issue with an unusable dining chair but that was very quickly fixed. However, everything served its purpose and I would stay there again as the view makes up for everything. The phoenix X facilities are great. We never had to wait for a hot tub as there were 3 and the heated indoor pool was almost bath water warm. The only newbie thing I didn’t realize was that to get to the indoor pool, since it is a condo, you have to go outside to get to the indoor pool which was harsh as it can get down to 40F in March but we just brought our jackets and dried off really well afterwards and it was bearable.

The location was amazing, however, the unit itself was below par. Couldn’t walk around barefoot because the floors were filthy. Every dish, cup, utensil, & cooking dish had to be washed or scrubbed due to being still dirty from prior use; even the coffee cups.
There were silverfish all over the kitchen, & even found a few in the sofa.
10:10 would recommend the location, but 1:10 for this specific unit.

We enjoyed our stay. Overall the unit was nice.We did have to tighten all the front legs on all dining chairs. A relative noticed that they were extremely unstable. All but one chair was stable enough to use, so we left it against the back wall. Nothing was where the labels on cabinet stated and lots of dishes were not as clean as should have been. I spent 1-1/2 days washing the dishes and putting them where they belonged. Floor was very sandy and there was no
vacuum in the unit. It got cold and we tried the heat, but it smelled like it was burning, so we just left it off and opened all the drapes to let it heat naturally. Other than those things, it was a pleasant stay. Loved the location of the unit. It was close to parking and elevators.
I would stay there again. My suggestion is to get in touch with your cleaning crews. I don't feel like they are on top of things.

Unit 916 is a clean, nicely furnished condo right on the white, sandy beaches of Orange Beach, AL. The kitchen is well furnished and all the furniture was very comfortable. However, for me, there was a huge problem with this location. It is within a two minute walk from FlorBama, which is the largest beach band venue in the south. So instead of enjoying the peaceful sounds of the winds and the waves, you have music playing every night, and on Friday and Saturday night that music is very loud, and continues until 2 am. Also the voices of those who’ve had a little too much to drink carries so well that I actually thought there was a loud party being held on the balcony of the floor under me. It was an okay stay, but I won’t be coming back.

This is our 4th stay at a Phoenix property. Most problems did not effect our overall stay. All of the ceiling fans SUCKED and need to be replaced. Upgrade the outlets and location of them. Everyone brings their own electronics and the plugs need to be more accessible. Location is awesome. People were great we will use Phoenix condos again.

The picture of the condo looks great! The view of the beach and the peacefulness was as imagined. The furniture in the picture was very old and worn. the green chair was filthy the seating was filled with sand; not cleaned. The recliner was old with the leather peeling all over (not sanitary). The balcony cushions should be replaced. When you sat on the sofa your whole bottom went down. The fresh paint and clean floors helped me to overlook this short coming. For your future customers please upgrade this furniture.

Our stay was overall very nice. The condo could use some updating. The dressers were missing some knobs to open the drawers. Some paint touch ups and just overall maintance. For the price that we paid some of this should be taken care of. The view made up for it though.

Stayed here quite a few times in the last 10 years. The king bed has been upgraded since last visit and was very comfortable. Owner was quick to respond with any questions and would certainly recommend this unit.

As always, Phoenix X is a perfect place to stay. This particular condo unit was a let down. I had read bad reviews before booking but hoped the issues were addressed...they weren't.

I have stayed in better condos before and I have stayed in worse. The cleaning crew could have done a better job, there were lots of dustballs on the floor and old wristbands for the complex in the living room. The kitchen/cooking supplies are limited, we only had 4 forks. On the last day they property management group was power washing (at 7am) the front door and walk way to leave the condo and we couldn't exit the condo till they were done, on top of pushing water and sand in the entry of the condo. Overall loved our time at the beach but for the price and cleaning fee wish it would have a lot better.

Family vacation mixed with HS graduation. Location was great, beach and amenities were satisfactory.
