Phoenix VIII 401

Condo was pretty roomy, aside from one of the bathrooms. It is well-furnished, however the sofa needs replacing. Has a beautiful view of the gulf. Management was quickly helpful in replacing a missing remote control.
Though the condo needed better floor cleaning and could use some updating, generally, it is nice enough for 4 people.

Great location, but furniture needs to be upgraded. Bed Frames are noisy. They provide nothing in the way of essentials which was stated but only one hand towel, disher soap, laundry soap. It was noisy with kids above us. It was clean when we arrived but floors weren't swept. Wifi only worked when we walked downstairs.

We had 7 people and had plenty of room to sleep. Livingroom, dining room were a little cramped for all of us. There was some plumbing issues - didn't affect us but we heard the noise at all hours. The decription says two hot tubs when there was only one and very small at that (3 people). The outside pool area was nice but water was very cold. Ran like a hotel. Smoking policy should be in the reviews. We all know you can't smoke indoors but should say that 4th floor and by pool area are the only areas you can smoke

Check out was a nightmare. Power was cut off and I had 2 children under 2, my elderly parents (one which has alzheimers) and my daughter with me. It was extremely hard for 2 women to get them and all of our luggage down 4 flights of stairs. Yes I was aware that the power was going off but we missed the cut off by about 3 minutes. We have always had great experiences before with Phoenix Rentals. Not sure we will come again though after this.

Our experience at Phonix VIII was good. Communication was excellent and check in was a breeze. The location was excellent for the Wharf, watching the Blue Angels practice, FloraBama and Sweet Cone Alabama. Even though it was a little out of the way for The Hangout and Lulu's, the drive wasn't bad. The condo was well stocked but needed a deep clean. We found trash under a nightstand when it was moved to plug in a hair dryer, candy stuck to a headboard and sand in the living area. Some of the electrical outlets did not work. A patio chair was broken and a leg on the recliner had obviously been patched. All of the upholstery needed cleaning. We had plenty of space for six adults and one child.The staff was friendly and there was plenty of seating around the pool. The gazebo was great for a lunch by the pool and our little one loved the kiddie pool! I would stay here again, but owners need to be aware of the cleaning issues.

The condo was nice but the furniture like the sofa and chairs were dirty and filthy!! Overall it was a really nice trip. FYI throw the sofa and chairs away in the living room away. They need to be replaced. Besides that it was nice

This is our fourth year coming to Orange Beach. We really enjoy the area. This year was equally great! The place was exactly what we wanted. Plenty of room and great access to everything the area has to enjoy. We usually bring extras of everything because you don't always know what you are going to have available but this place was nicely equipped. Come down relax and enjoy the beach!

I rented 3 condos for our team of 9 to stay during a conference/training. The accommodations were amazing and everyone had a great time.

We loved the place. Very clean when we arrived. Easy check-in. Grounds were well jept. Loved that it was smaller than most we've stayed before. Would stay again. A+

Our vacation together was great! Our rental property... not so much! The ridiculous amount of money we paid per night... I would expect a much more accommodating place. We had so many missing items. Typical items you need on a daily base. The place was dirty! Blender was so disgusting, I wanted to throw it away! Dishwasher was full of dirty dishes that I had to hand wash because everything was dried on. The kicker for me was the big toe nail my granddaughter had “ poking” here in bed!! She pulled that out from under the sheets!!! Everything was old, and stained! Our master bedspread was gross! We had 25 pillows in the closets, but no pillow cases to put off the disgusting looking pillows! I would not stay here again Nor would I recommend to anyone!

We’ve stayed at this location several times. Had a few issues this time but property management took care of them quickly. Can’t wait for next summer

The unit was just the right size for a ladies trip of 10. It was able to sleep everyone comfortably, we had room to move about and the balcony was able to accommodate everyone.

Comfortable, spacious, quiet! Perfect for a relaxing get away.

The only problem was the coffee pot did not work. Other than that we were very satisfied.

We had a great time! First time getting together with my grown kids in a long time. The condo was the perfect size for all of us. We spent lots of time at the pool and the beach. Cooked in the room for breakfast and lunch the. Went out each night for dinner. Everything was perfect.

Enjoyed spending Memorial Day weekend at Phoenix VIII. Unit 401 was clean and well stocked with kitchen items. The beach area was great. This building as less units so beach was not over crowded. Would definitely rent again!

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Orange beach. Unit was clean and beautifully decorated. Check in was confusing since we had to go to another building and the lady at that desk was rude. However, She was not associated with our rental. Ours was fabulous!

The condo was overall okay. The location was decent and the staff was friendly. We loved the view and the large balcony was awesome. The kitchen light did not work and the floor was dirty. My daughter crawls and her knees and hands were disgusting after our first 5 minutes there. The dishwasher also smelled but that was fixed after we ram it a few times. Extra seating outside would be nice. We prefer to be in Gulf Shores but if someone wants Orange beach, this is a decent place.

Excellent condo with the needed amenities. Could definitely tell this condo was recently updated. It was lovely. Plenty of room for 5 adults. The building is a bit smaller than other Phoenix properties but that was as advantage for us as there were fewer people around. Beach was not crowded. Great place and great experience.

We loved the condo. It was very roomy and worked great for our family. Our only problems were the bifold doors that were off track. Not a big enough deal to call while we were there. The tub in the master bathroom took forever to drain. My biggest issue was the dirty dishes, chocolate pretzel behind the night stand, dirty makeup removal cloth and the floors could have been cleaner. Nothing bad about the unit just the cleaning service.

The condo was very nice. There is an odd smell when you walk in. It's contained to the area by the front door. We purchased some air freshener, but it didn't help much. All the bedrooms are great size and the living/kitchen areas were also very nice. The views from the deck were great. Access to the beach was very convenient and the folks at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. I'm just really disappointed that I left some jewelry behind and it was never recovered. I know it's my fault for leaving it behind. I just want to have more faith in people. Overall, the condo was really nice and I'd definitely rent it again.

This property was very clean and we found everything to be in working order. The location was great. Beach was beautiful! We didn’t have any dealings with property management in person and since we didn’t encounter any problems that was fine.!we saw the pool guy a few times and he was always polite and friendly.

Eight of us stayed in the condo and were very comfortable. The bathrooms and bedrooms were roomy. The kitchen was fully equipped and easy to use. Looks like most of the condo has been updated. This unit is directly on the beach with great views from the balcony. The rental manager was great to work with. Very pleasant experience!

The unit was older and had several kinks but location was perfect and pricing was fair. The master bed was worn out; iron in laundry room did not work; frig froze our veggies and did not make much ice and sliding door in living area was so hard to open we had to just use other door to balcony.

Phoenix VIII, being one of the smaller complexes in the area, keeps crowds to a minimum at the pools and on the beach. We were pleased with the location and condo size. The only complaint that I would have is that the sofas are very worn and uncomfortable. Aside from that, it was perfect for our family of 7.

Beautiful condo with easy access to the pool and beach. Plenty of sleeping room for everyone. Clean and nicely decorated.

Condo needs a new mattress for the sofa bed. it did not sleep good. Need a broom there to sweep with.

Let me try to make this short and spite of a few complaints. Great location, clean on check in, kitchen adequately supplied, décor is pleasant, beds were comfortable, staff was nice; however, everything that involved mechanics was loud in this condo such as the exhaust fans and the washing machine spin cycle. Top dishwasher rack had so many broken prongs it was difficult to load glasses. Toilet handle needed to be held down for 20-30 seconds in order for tank to fill, master bath shower was dark as a cave. These things all seemed to be the original to the condo which must be going on 40 years old and just need to be replaced. Just showing it's age. It didn't ruin our stay, but we wouldn't request this condo unit again. Once the appliances and such are replaced, it will be just fine.

The unit was just as described. And the atmosphere was super family friendly. It was amazing to see the constant care given to the common areas, especially the pools and elevators.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Phoenix VIII. The accommodations were very comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and we had easy access to food and fun.

Unit was exactly as described; view, amenities, furnishings were all very nice. Property was clean and well maintained. There was even a vacuum cleaner so we could keep the floor clean. Kitchen was well equipped/supplied. Online rental staff was great, but on-sight staff, when actually present, was inadequate and slow. Within the actual unit, there were no blankets on the beds, so if that is something you're used to, you should bring your own. Also, maybe some additional towels (there were only 10, one for each possible guest) which we were 10 so we had to wash those multiple times during our stay, luckily there was an in-unit washer/dryer. Location is close to shopping and dining.

We had a pretty large group and we all stayed very comfortably. The condo was very spacious, each bedroom was a very nice size. I believe the listing states that the third bedroom has twin beds, but I believe that they are full size beds. All of the beds were comfy. The balcony was wonderful! Our kids really enjoyed eating their breakfast out there each morning, while watching the dolphins swim. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed during our stay. All in all I would give this unit 5 stars and recommend it to any and everyone. My family and I would definitely stay again!

Condo was very good. Smaller building with good amenities without all the people. Bathrooms were a little small, and showers took a minute to figure out.
Would be nice if there were a few little details, like salt and pepper, coffee filters, glass cleaner for the big glass table. Also, we played a game the first night, and couldn't find a pencil or pen anywhere to keep score. Just little things, but stuff you normally find in many rentals.
Also, the patio doors were quite difficult to open and close. Perhaps a little lubricant.
Enough of the negative stuff. We loved the location, the view, the indoor pool, outdoor pool was a bit chilly at the time of our visit, but looked great. Staff helpful and friendly.
We had a wonderful time, and would definitely stay here again.

Was able to get this condo last minute, as we were forced to make alternate plans due to Hurricane Matthew in Cocoa Beach, FL. Nice Condo in a great location. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, easy parking, on the beach, lots of restaurants, informative front desk, good communication with rental company. Was a good week. My only complaint, it would be nice if an extra roll of TP was left in each bathroom and at least one extra trash bag left in the kitchen trash can. Very easy, uncomplicated, rental process. The keypad lock was great.
