Phoenix Gulf Shores 304

Staying at Phoenix Gulf Shores was a wonderful experience for our family. Great location, great unit #304, not overcrowded, plenty of parking. We will be returning. Two years ago we stayed at Phoenix West II on the 27th floor. What a nightmare: elevators, crowded, parking nightmare. Take your family to Phoenix Gulf Shores. You won't regret it.

The condo’s location is perfect- just three floors up gave us the option to just use the steps most of the time. The pool and water slide are directly below the balcony, which obviously came with lots of daytime noise with kids in the pool (which doesn’t bother us at all), but once inside with the balcony door shut, you couldn’t hear any of the pool noise. The water slide was a big hit! We were able to park in the garage on the same floor which was a huge plus and never had trouble finding a spot. There was plenty of space for our group of 14. The master has its own bathroom, there is a bathroom that is shared with a bedroom and opens to the hallway, and a Jack & Jill bathroom between the other two rooms. Plenty of kitchen cookware and dishes to get us through the week, including a coffee maker and Crockpot. Also, plenty of towels, though we obviously had to rewash as needed through the week.

A few cons (did not affect our overall experience):
When we first arrived, we went to the lobby to get our parking passes- there was only one attendant and it took us a full 30 mins to get through the line (obviously no fault of the condo owner themselves). With every guest, the attendant asked if they pre-registered their vehicles online and every single person said they didn’t know that was an option...definitely would’ve saved a lot of frustration.
Mattress pad on the king bed is as annoying and awkward as other reviews say.
Floors in the condo could probably use a good scrubbing- again, as other reviews say, our feet were all black after just a short time of walking on it.

Saw someone mention that the light in the laundry room doesn’t work. The light switch is on the left wall...the switch directly above the washer/dryer doesn’t seem to do anything (may be helpful to label them). Also, some kind of hooks or a stand alone towel rack would be very helpful on the balcony for wet towels and

The condo was a nice rental for our vacation.
The pros...
The beach is beautiful. The condo has a spacious layout. The indoor and outdoor pool options were nice. Parking was always available. Within walking distance to restaurants and beach stores.
Cons...
An earlier post about the beds being uncomfortable was an understatement! The mattresses and pillows need replaced.
The floors need a good cleaning...everyone wore shoes all week because the bottom of our feet were so dirty if we didn’t. The kitchen could use some new pots and pans, but it was doable.

Manager's Response

The unit was very clean, spacious, and well equipped. Parking on the same level was a plus. The view was beautiful. I would definitely choose this unit again, but only if mattress in master bedroom is replaced! It was a piece of 4 inch foam on top of a boxspring. Very uncomfortable and not what you would expect from an otherwise perfect unit.

Great condo, great space and view of the gulf.

It was wonderful. Eleven of stayed there with no problems. The beach was amazing. We also used the pools a lot.

This was our first time staying in Gulf Shores and everyone had an excellent time. We were joined by our son and his family and a sibling and his wife. This condo was much more spacious than other beach condos we have rented in other locations. The four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms allowed all of us to have comfort and privacy. The unit was clean and the kitchen well appointed. The beach is beautiful and only a few steps beyond the pool area. The grandchildren enjoyed the indoor pool on some of our cooler days but also the outdoor waterslide despite the unheated water in the outdoor pool. The expansive balcony allowed for amazing views and outfitted with quality deck furniture. The location of the building was ideal, as beach shops and several restaurants were within a mile walk. There were carts on each floor to transport luggage and groceries to the unit and we all enjoyed tryng the new pickle ball court atop the parking garage. The convenience store/coffee shop across the street was also a plus. Everyone voted that we will return in the future to unit 304.

Our family decided on a non-traditional Christmas this year. Our stay at Gulf Shores was breathtaking! This condo was great and we had plenty room for our family of 11. Ages all the way from 1 to 70! The view each and everyday from the huge windows and the large deck were just what we needed! We were within walking distance to The Hangout for some entertainment and food. There is a small grocery store across the street for items we ran out of or forgot. It was nice to be able to park on the same floor as the condo also.

Perfect family vacation spot. Grandkids loved the beach and the pools. The condo was big enough for all of us. Beautiful view from the third floor. Parking on same level of the condo was a game changer. Perfect to unload/load suitcases as well as groceries.

The condo was perfect for our family of 13. It was very clean and plenty of space for all of us. You can’t get a better view than from the balcony. We all spent early mornings and late evenings there. The property was right on the beach and the pool with slide was a hit with the kids. We are planning to go back next year.

Need some hooks on the doors for hanging towels, light in laundry room didn’t work, need some nonstick skillets and cookie sheets. But overall a great place! We would come back for sure!

We had a wonderful time. With younger children in our party, it was easy access to the beach, pool, and parking (for loading and unloading). It had everything that we needed. Thank you.

The rental is very spacious and the view is amazing. Nice location to restaurants. We had a total of 10 people and did not feel crowded. The condo was clean, however the tile floors looked clean but were not. Some of the beds were really firm, and some were softer so you have a mix. The only downside is the parking.
Most places will at least give you one pass in with rental, but this one didn't and the passes were $55 a car. Overall a great place to stay.

The view from this condo #304 is nothing but spectacular. We spent a lot of time on the balcony as the weather wasn’t the greatest while we were here, but that didn’t matter. The condo was clean and very roomy. Kitchen was stocked with what you need. Beds were comfy. Being on the third floor was great for parking and convenient to go right to the condo.

This condo was perfect for our family of 15. Ages 69 to 2 years old. Clean and space for everyone. Inside pool was a big hit due to coller and windy days. Highly recommend this condo.

Great location on the beach

From the moment we walked in, we enjoyed the comfort, views and amenities. Grandkids wanted us to buy it and move in! Very nice heated pool set up and security is very good. Saw maintenance going on every day. Friendly environment. Close to groceries, restaurants and the beach of course. Yes we will consider booking again!

This condo was just the peaceful setting we needed for our family. It was easy to access (parking on same level) and was directly over the pool and has a beautiful view of the beach. Couldn't ask for anything better. The bonus was getting to watch the sun set over the water from the balcony - heaven at the beach!

Great location, easy access to a lot of things. The property itself needs a good cleaning and a coat of paint. The walls and cabinets were very dirty. Stains and holes in the furniture. For the amount of money is costs to rent this property I would at least expect that the counters and walls were wiped off.

Not clean floors were very dirty- 2 sets of beds had sand in them- 2 showers not clean and 2 towels were dirty. Refrigerator wouldn’t cool. Lighting overall out doors and around pool area not good. No lights on the balcony. The PM would not return messages or emails.

Great location, beautiful rental for family, poorly maintained. The floors and bathrooms had not been cleaned just made to look clean. The kitchen was disgusting. Almost every drawer and some cabinets had clips of human hair in them. I’m not sure why one would own such a beautiful condo and represent it in that way.

First of all, the location was great, very roomy, set up perfectly for a bigger family. We brought our 3 kids and 2 friends for my daughters birthday. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy! The kitchen was nice and the living room had plenty of seating with a very comfy couch! Nice balcony, nice view, and parking close to the condo. Elevators were always quick, and nice pool area and close walk to the beach. Very nice place. Now for the cons. Walked in and was in awe, however when unpacking we found drawers and floors not very clean in bedrooms. (There was an alcoholic beverage can under the bed in one of the rooms) not a major deal as everything else was pretty clean. The worse part for me was the beds are so uncomfortable. Like sleeping on the floor. Also every time it thundered or clouded up they shut the pools down which made for bored kids because it took forever to open it back up.

Fantastic condo and beach. Stay here and have fun. The kids also enjoyed the pools.

Gorgeous view

Beautiful condo. Had everything we needed for an excellent stay. So close to the water!!!!

Our condo was less than satisfactory! We had a ling list of problems in the three nights we stayed at #302. Two days of strange men trying to fix a broken air conditioner.....two night of extremely hot conditions isn't acceptable. Or ceiling fan in our room was broken.....ice maker didn't work. Furniture had holes and stains and was quite uncomfortable. So disappointed to plan for months a fun quick get away with women only to be managing problem after problem! Will Not Be Back

We had 3 families, 7 adults, 5 children and 2 babies that stayed during our trip. There was plenty of room, we didn’t feel cramped. There were no supplies, which is a shock even though it explains that in the welcome pack. Having to buy toilet paper and dish soap, hand soap, garbage bags and paper towels. Stuff like that seems ridiculous. The large rug in the living room is old and disgusting along with the table chairs being very rickety. The cookware is all stainless which is a major pain to cook with on an electric stove top.

Other than those things the place was nice. The beds were somewhat comfortable but could use better bedding and although there was a pull out couch that could be used we couldn’t find any bedding for it. Also the hot water heater definitely couldn’t handle more than a shower or two before running out of hot water.
