Phoenix V 917

Location and views were absolutely spectacular. However the cleanliness of the apartment was far from that. I have stayed with phoenix properties before and never had this issue. When we first got to the apartment we found pet hair almost everywhere as well as some pet toys. There was hair all over the bathroom towels, brown stains on the bed bedsheets, pee and hair on the toilet seats, and after our 2 year old walked on the floors his feet were black. On top of it being dirty this rental gave you little to no supplies for your stay. Which is listed in the description now that I went back but we were given 2 rolls of toilet paper for a 10 person condo, 1 roll of paper towels, a single pouch of laundry detergent, a tiny bottle of dish soap, and 1 dish towel. I would not stay at this rental again. I hope they can find a better cleaning crew and get this place back up to tip top shape.

Amazing. Our room had so much space, it was wonderful! The view was perfect of the ocean and the property. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed to cook everyday, it was a wonderful vacation and everyone in my family had plenty of space in the condo and it was very quiet! Do not hesitate, book your stay! The facility was so clean and organized. There is so much to do and see!

The building itself was great. Convenient location to restaurants and grocery store. Solash pad and pool were perfect. Spent a lot of our time there. As far as the condo, it could use some updating. The kitchen appliances are outdated and only one burner on the stove worked (cooking dinner took awhile), the fridge is small for this unit being able to hold 8 people. The ice maker is sloowww(only a few cubes an hour) so buy bags of ice. Overall, nice place. Would stay again.

The location of the property and the view from our condo was magnificent!!! The unit was dirty when we arrived. We notified the maintenance man of some items needing attention and he was very kind and assured us things would be taken care of as soon as we left. The building is very outdated, but our condo was updated and nice. Something really needs done about the indoor pool and sauna area. Dark, dingy and no air movement at all resulting in a lot of sickness from the heaviness of the chemical smell in the air. A little bit of attention on the part of management would go a long way.

Everything was great other than the living room furniture. The couches were so dirty and stained that we didn’t feel comfortable sitting on them. Otherwise, great condo, nice layout, plenty of space.

We had a great time at Orange Beach.
This is our 4th time to Orange Beach/ Gulf Shores.
This Condo was older than the other Condos that we’ve stayed in, but was clean!
The air conditioning vents are old and make a lot of rattling noises, it bothered our grandkids, but luckily their sound machines covered most of it, but all the adults did think it was hard to fall asleep to.
The guest bathroom tub doesn’t hold water, I had read that on another previous review, so that has still not been fixed so we had to keep filling up the kids bathtub.
We really enjoyed the views from our corner balcony, but it would be better if there were comfortable lounger chairs, there is only the outdoor dinning table and chairs.
The Master and Queen beds were very comfortable ( not sure about the double beds in the 3rd bedroom?)
My main complaint would be the lack of towels!!!
There were only 3 bath towels for the master, and 4 for the quest bathroom. (And they were very thin, small, cheap towels!)
The bedrooms sleep 6 and that’s just not enough towels.
I did laundry every morning and evening just to have clean towels. ( Not the way I prefer to spend my vacation)
Every other condo we’ve ever stayed at has had at least 6 towels per bathroom.
The kids ( ages 5 & 3) loved the pool and splash pad .
Being a corner unit, It is a LONG walk from the elevators to this unit!!
The kitchen was pretty stocked, except for tongs and grilling spatulas.
We had to improvise when grilling.
Overall it was a nice stay.

Don’t let the pictures fool you. This place needs a deep cleaning, the master bathroom had hair in the bathtub and the shower curtain was very disgusting, it had what seemed lipstick and was just nasty. We didn’t even use this bathroom for that reason. The kitchen had several cups and plates put away that were not clean, we had to wash everything before we used it. The tv also didn’t work the whole time we stayed there. The views are incredible though. And the building itself is very nice, the pool and kiddie area is also very nice. However this unit was just horrible. I will not stay here again. If I could give it a 0 I would.

We had a great time. The property is right in the beach. The room was super nice. The construction on the balconies was very annoying. They started at 8 am when I would have liked to slept in on vacation. The front desk lady was not friendly. She had a very dry personality. Not rude just not nice and friendly. The rest of the staff was very nice and accommodating. The security people were super nice and helpful when we arrived. Altogether a nice getaway for spring break.

We were taking a break from winter along the AL coast. This has become a winter tradition. This property was located in the same building we have used before and is great for us. We enjoyed our stay but several issues keep me from giving it the full great experience. During our stay, deck repairs were being made throughout the building and we could not use the deck during our stay (not a controllable issue). We wish we had been notified in advance. Also, we encountered several annoying maintenance issues in the unit. We worked around them but left a note for management. All said, we would try this unit again in the future.

Great experience, location. Awesome with comfy beds. Only negative is there was not a good skillet to prepare food. Only a small skillet and needs a new blender. I would stay here again

The rating of Phoenix V was amazing! Staff were always busy making sure it was clean. The overall stay in Room 917 was okay. The unit didn’t have a skillet to cook in, the dishwasher leaked the one time we used it, the ceiling above the tub in the master bath looks like it might cave in at any moment, the sofa couch was stained, and the water pressure in the master bath was terrible.

Very nice clean condo & the beds were very comfortable. Plenty of room for all of my family and the corner condo had a nice big balcony.

Had a great time, place was very clean, property manger even came to unlock the storage bin. I would and will recomment to my friends.

It's great waking up on the Gulf of Mexico for two months!

We enjoyed our two months stay at 917. The unit was nice, with a terrific view of the Gulf.

FYI, the cleaning of the unit needs to be reviewed and some of the bedding had not been changed. Not a comforting experience.

We especially loved the view, the comfortable beds, the televisions in the bedrooms, the good array of cooking pans, and the professionalism of the rental agent. We will be back next year.

A couple little things could be updated (the tv's don't all have remotes, the sliding glass doors are hard to open) but those arw tiny compared to how beautiful the condo is. The bedrooms are much bigger than in the photos! One note: this totally out of the owner's control, but the water pressure is pretty low. Don't try to shower and run the dishwasher or washing machine at the same time.

This was the perfect spot for my family, Pool is clean, kids were able to use the floaters, lawn chairs that the property owners provided, nights going scavenging on the sandcastle there were flash lights, buckets for the kids, something that was totally new to u, having coffee on the balcony was amazing!!

Outstanding view, plenty of space, very clean And well equipped this place is perfect for families of all ages. With outstanding staffing and management. We definitely recommend this place

The place was much bigger than I expected and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was perfect for our family. The ONLY thing I would say would be a few of the outlets were not working and the water pressure seemed to be really low.

We stayed in 917. The condo was spacious, clean and everything we expected! The only downside was the cooler weather, but the condo was perfect!

The rental was clean, spacious and well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The view was great. We will be renting this condo again in the future! The splash pad was great for the little ones.

This room was clean and exactly as described. Beautiful views of the beach and easy access. We would definitely recommend.

Great location and extremely family friendly. The beach was well taken care of and the staff was always helpful. We went on a week where the weather was perfecat so that made it fantastic. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen was fairly well organized if you like to cook for the masses. The grills were down by the pool (bring your own charcoal), and the pools were fantastic for adults and children.

The only issue that we had was there were so many people there and one of the elevators was non functioning. First world problems, right?

We arrived to a very clean vacation home-away-from-home. I'm sure I could find something picky I could complain about but right now I cannot think of a thing I would change. It was exactly as described. The pictures show the condo exactly as we found it when we arrived. What you see is what you get. Kitchen was well equipped. The view is awesome. I cannot say enough good things about dealing with the management company and Julia Ayers.

We couldn't be at a better location, but, the condo could use a deep cleaning. Our feet and socks were black from walking down the hall. The headboard on one of the beds was broken. We tried to vacuum but found out the vacuum was filled with dirt and was stopped up with a plastic bottle cap. We cleaned out the vacuum and went over the floor. There are two chairs on the master bedroom balcony and my daughter wanted to sit in one to watch the traffic and the chair broke! It had rusted and the one of the legs cut her toe. There are no service elevators for the custodial crew, so, if you are trying to leave before 10am, good luck! You may as well leave at 8am. Trying to get out of the facility with hundreds of other families while the crew is taking up all the elevators from 9am-10am was a nightmare. The beach is beautiful, the view from the room is beautiful. We loved the pool and splash pad but if we were to stay in Phoenix V again, it will be in a different unit.

We had a great time! Weather was fantastic! The condo was jus the right size but it could use some updating! It was clean but could have used new comforters and new furniture! The blinds needed replacing also! But it was convenient to everything in orange beach and the view was beautiful! The splash pad was not opened so that was disappointing for the kids! But overall we had a great time! Thanks for the memories!

I do not like giving bad reviews and will start out by saying the location, view and facility were great. The property staff was outstanding - the security guards were awesome. We were however very disappointed with the condo. The condo is outdated, dark, the bed linens old are worn, the bathrooms are extremely small and also dark. The kitchen was stocked with a toaster, small appliances, basic dishes and glasses. However the pans and utensils need to be replaced. There was one usable fry pan - certainly not sufficient for cooking breakfast. The freezer smelled like fish as did the ice. We ended up turning the ice maker off and resorted to buying bags of ice. The appliances are functional but old. The dryer took forever to completely dry anything. The refrigerator and freezer doors do not shut properly. The ac is noisy. We have stayed in other beach vacation rentals and this one by far was the most expensive ... we don't feel the our experience with this unit matched the price.

We enjoyed our stay. The only big issue was parking, they had the parking garage closed off so it was a bit crowded. Good place over all!

We were very pleased with the condo with the exception of the bedroom with the double beds. These beds were TERRIBLE! Not only were they uncomfortable but they were very loud. One move during the night and the whole room was awake. The other two bedrooms had great beds. Disappointing for such a nice complaints otherwise. It fit our families needs perfectly.

We booked last minute and our experience was wonderful. Great location, large and clean condo, and the owner was a pleasure to work with. Would definitely stay in this unit again!

Overall we had a great time but the unit was somewhat disappointing. The floor was dirty, everyone had black feet like it had not been mopped in a long time. The 2 double beds squeaked something awful waking up those who were still sleeping in the other bed. One dish towel and one dish rag is absurd and there are not even 10 bath towels and 10 face rags. We swept the floor every day with the pitiful broom in the unit. The shelf in the refrigerator door was broken so we duct taped it together so it was usable.
The unit is a great corner location, the splash pad was awesome for my grandkids. I would LOVE to stay there again after above mentioned problems are addressed and ending on a positive note the air conditioner unit works great, the unit was always comfy cold.
Would only recommend to friends after some TLC.....

We've been coming to the Orange Beach. Area for over 20 years and have stayed at various condo complexes. This unit certainly met the needs of our three families. We were a bit disappointed to find our floors had not been swept of sand & mopped , as well as bathrooms not cleaned before our admittance. Our manager Julia took care of the concern immediately. The kitchen was a little lean on cooking supplies but we managed. No dish cloths or drying towels. Otherwise, our week was fabulous and we would definitely recommend this unit to others and especially our manager, Julia Ayers. Thanks again Julia for everything! Tim & Karen Lockhart

This is the first time we have stayed in Orange Beach. The views from this unit were amazing. We would have liked a little more afternoon sun with the weather being cold the week of our stay. The location of Phoenix V is close to everything and the unit was well equipped. If you require dependable internet service be sure to have mobile service the unit did not have very good connectivity.

Our vacation was wonderful and we enjoyed the accommodations. Phoenix V is a fantastic facility and the staff was friendly and professional. The Beach Attendant was the best ever -- truly an example of exceptional customer service including guest that did not utilize the chair services. The room size, location and amenities perfect for us. The only concerns with the room pertained to the condition of the carpet (filthy) and fold out couch (filthy) -- it was so dirty we refused to open it up and kept our flip flops on our feet when walking on the carpet located in the bedrooms. Our sales contact was friendly and timely with information. Overall enjoyed our 1st stay with Phoenix V

We enjoyed our stay at Phoenix V 917 over Spring Break. The unit was ready and waiting for us. We loved being able to use the Keypad on the door instead of a room key. This made it so simple for our teenagers. Areas near the pool were under construction which we weren't so happy with, but it did not hinder our experience. We would love to come again.
