Phoenix VI 713

We had a blast in Orange Beach and at the Phoenix. Plenty to do at the resort, pickleball, weightroom, hot tubs, pools. Condo itself fit our needs, comfortable and clean. We will try and make it back next summer.

Beautiful condo. Had a great vacation.

Upon arrival the room was filthy. Dirty towels, pillow cases stained with mold, bed sheets stained with what looked like bodily fluids, extra blankets unwashed and smelling like perfume from past users, orange liquid on a wall. The main door does not close correctly, leaving a whistling noise all day and night if it’s windy and we had a very windy week! The kitchen was coated in a film of grease along with most dishes. The washer broke the first night while washing the dirty sheets, leaving us with no sheets to sleep with. When I contacted the rental company, I did not get a reply. She just gave the cleaning crew and washer repair person our personal door code to let them selves in our room without our knowledge or us being there. I have small children. Therefore this is alarming for this reason and many others. We have stayed at a Phoenix 6 for 5 years in a different condo, this was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had. Do not book through this rental company. Phoenix 6 is a great property but this rental company is terrible.

Phoenix VI condo 6713 location is ideal - in Orange Beach with a great beach view. However, I cannot currently recommend this unit. Nor am I happy with the Phoenix Rentals property managers.

My 87-year-old Mom who was there alone one day enjoying the patio confronted two complete strangers in our unit during our stay. The couple apologized and proceeded to explain they were staying in the Phoenix VI complex and were dissatisfied with their dirty unit. Our common property manager apparently failed to verify if 6713 unit was currently occupied and proceeded to provide one-time digital key access for the couple to view the unit for potential extended stay for next year. The action by the property manager is unacceptable; NEVER should have been allowed access to a rental unit that is currently occupied for privacy and safety reasons. I received excuses and an apology for their action, nothing else.

The unit looked old, dirty, smelly and was not well maintained. In the master bathroom, there is some kind of stain along the wall to the toilet / shower room that looks like a pee stain arc. It had been there for a while and had hardened. In addition, the long ottoman in the living area had a large arc stain; it appeared that someone tried to clean it but was unsuccessful. The oven was filthy with solid grease at the bottom and needed to be cleaned before use. I am sure using the oven “as is” would have set off the fire alarm. The carpet in all bedrooms needed deep cleaning or replaced. The mattresses were ok, but the sheets felt gritty, and the comforters were smelly. Bathroom towels were extremely thin. The toilet seat in the master bathroom was cracked and needed to be replaced for sanitary purposes. The patio screens had holes. The screen in the living room would not close properly. The unit had satellite service which had issues when there was wind or bad weather (service would pixel and freeze) on all tvs.

The unit was dirty when we arrived with poop being in one of the bedrooms. I spent the first full day washing sheets and cleaning. The unit needs updating.

This condo is dated. The carpet in the bedrooms is dirty and needs to be replaced. The chairs in the living room has covers that don’t fit. The cleaning crew did an ok job but there was a lot of dust and stuff under beds and behind couches. The kitchen is fully stocked which was nice. The full size washer and dryer was great. Our stay was fine but I wouldn’t select this unit again.

very nice unit with a great view. Suggest owner install handicap bars on outside wall of the two bathroom tub-showers since both bathrooms require a tub step-over when exiting.
