Phoenix V 808

Overall, our group was pleased with our stay, however there were a few issues that made our stay not so great. The main issue were the TVs and Remotes. There is only 1 remote that works with any of the 4 TVs in the unit, and it only controls the channels, not the tv volume, etc. also, the cable itself was very spotty and often gave us an error message the the service was unavailable. Having 4 young kids with us during our stay, TVs are a necessity for time to wind down that we were unable to have. The other issue was there was mold in/around the shower head in the main bathroom. The elevators are a nightmare around check out/in time, although they do say they are getting new elevators Sept 30th. The location and beach were great, however. Our kids also really enjoyed having the variety of outdoor and indoor pools, and a splash pad.

We arrived on Tuesday, 7/2. When going to bed that night, we turned down one of the beds in the bedroom with two full beds and found LOTS of sand on the sheets. Had to wash sheets before going to bed. The shower in the master bedroom stayed stopped up the whole time even after I bought Drain cleaner to unclog it. Four people had to use one bathroom for 4 days. Roaches were present, trash was overflowing at the elevator area on the 8th floor for 4 out of 5 days we were there. On Sunday, 7/7, after packing our belongings in 2 carts, we waited over 35 minutes for an elevator and eventually had to carry our belongings down 8 flights of steps in order to leave. After a couple of trips down 8 flights, we rolled the 2 carts down the 8 flights of steps. I have pictures of the overflowing trash, stopped up bathtub and roach crawling across floor that I will attach to the email I received. Needless to say, I will not be staying here again. I did tell the lady at the desk about the bathtub and sand in the bed. She gave me a number to call which I did but could not reach anyone.

Fantastic stay at Phoenix V. We had such a great time at the Phoenix V and unit 808. Jenifer was a joy to work with, she gave us restaurant recs and an early check in. Condo was great, very clean. Resort had everything we needed. Kids stayed around the outdoor pool, hot tubs or indoor pool. Looking forward to coming back.

Great condo and a great location. Condo had everything a family would need and comfortable beds. Amazing views!! Clean and affordable. Used all of the amenities. Will definitely stay here again!

Our family vacation was the best. Our condo was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. The living room was big and had enough seating for the entire family. We had a great view off the balcony. I would definitely stay here again.

The icemaker and bonus fridge are awesome additions to the condo, and the large living and dining spaces were great for our group. The kitchen was well equipped with appliances, plenty of plates, bowls, cups, silverware and cooking pots and pans. But throughout the place was dusty and dirty. There was mold in the washing machine, on the showerheads, and along the baseboards in the bathrooms. The shower in the shared bathroom did not drain well, so you were always standing in several inches of water during your shower. The dishwasher did not clean the dishes, so everything needed to be handwashed. All of the couch cushions were on wrong and were rather dirty and stained (though having 2 full couches as well as several chairs made the living space very comfortable for a large group). It was fairly clear that the "cleaning service" done between guests was just changing the sheets (but not putting them on the beds properly), replacing towels, and a quick sweep of the floors, not an actual cleaning, which makes the $200 fee feel very steep. Overall, our stay in the condo was fine – it is adequately equipped, and the view is great, but it definitely needs a thorough cleaning, general maintenance, and fresh coat of paint.

I have 95% good things to say about the condo! The ice maker is a huge bonus! The downsides for us: right off the elevator so the first bedroom gets a lot of late noise and there wasn’t a blackout curtain in there. The vent in that room rattled really loudly when AC was on. The 3 dedicated queen beds have “crunchy” mattress protectors. Something that bugs me about these places in general is that you’re flying in from out of state and have to buy laundry detergent, dish soap, trash bags, coffee filters, paper towels & toilet paper for the 3 extra days you need them and a lot gets left behind or goes to waste. Can’t they see you’re staying for a week and leave a couple extra? Other than those little things, our family with 2 young kids loved the location, beach access, pool AND splash pad with a little slide, view, etc.

Condo was perfect! Spacious, clean, and fit our needs

Bad: Could have been cleaner. We had to vacuum upon arrival. Hole in the wall of master bath, mildew on shower curtains, coffee table losing screws out of the casters -about to fall.
Good: splash pad is wonderful for the littles. Lots of seating in living area. Kitchen well equipped -we cooked & ate most of our meals in unit. Good location-3 major grocery stores within 1 mile. Plenty of restaurants and amusements nearby, as well. Small refrigerator in corner of living room we used for drinks to save space for food in big refrigerator -a nice extra! Balcony was offset from other units - had a good bit of privacy. And I must always mention the spectacular view and sounds of the Gulf!
Would stay there again, in spite of the “bad” items. They weren’t a deal breaker.

Condo was comfortable. Beautiful views.The work on the balconies ruined our stay. It was so loud we couldn't be inside our condo during the day.
