Phoenix V 616

We booked this condo because it appeared to be one of the nicer units at the Phoenix V. Check-in was seamless but that is where things went downhill. Upon entering the unit, we noticed sand on the floor and hairs in the bathrooms/bathtubs. The Master Bathtub would not drain and was covered in sand and hair. There was a ring of filth around the tub. The next day, I reached out to the management company via phone and email and got no response. So we went to the store and bought Drano which fixed the tub. We also spent our own team cleaning the condo to bring it up to quality standards. Then after we finished washing our first load of clothes, we discovered that the dryer door would not close so it would not turn on. We had to take a pot and 3 towels to push against the door to make it close enough to run. Once again, we called and sent an email, with no response. Tried again the following day to reach management and still no answer. If I would have paid $1000 for the week then maybe I could understand this but at over $4000, it was a complete waste of money and a complete lack of care by the management company/owner. Luckily we were down there for a softball tournament so our time was mostly spent at the ballpark or beach and we did not have to deal with the interior. I suggest avoiding this unit and honestly the Phoenix V in general. The elevators are incredibly slow and the line to get on one can be a 30+ min wait.

The beds were very comfortable. The shower was small, clean but clogged needed to be unclogged, takes a while to get soap off due to soft water. Only 1 roll of toilet paper per bath, would be great to more available. Hair dryer had a very short cord could not blow dry hair unless you put your head close to the sink! Dangerous! Couch was very uncomfortable slightly dirty. Garbage disposal was not working may have had something stuck in it did not use at all. Pans teflon were scratched scared to use. Paper towels also need to have more supplied. Garbage bags too, especially kitchen! Need new washer/dryer too! Batteries in remotes were dead had to buy new.

This unit was well stocked with everything we needed. Decor was great and the beds were wonderful. The only downsides were not major but need mentioned. The unit just overall wasn't quite as clean as we expected. The bath towels were quite small, the guest room shower did not drain properly and the shower curtain had a bit of mold. There was some empty soda cans on the side of the bed from previous guests.

Had a great stay 2 nd time being here amazing view and location would recommend . Will be back in the future

We did have a little bit of traffic using the elevators the first night coming in. Other reviews have said the elevators were a nightmare, and I can absolutely see that happening if booking during peak season (in which case, come with patience, or take the stairs).

The cookware is typical of rental properties, a little abused by others that don't know how to properly cook on nonstick cookware. (To be transparent, I always bring a pan and skillet because of this, but just because I'm particular!)

I am looking forward to booking here again in the future. I 100% recommend!

We stayed the last week of September 2023 and it was very nice. The condo looked like the pictures and the property was was described correctly. Overall the property was clean and we saw people cleaning around the property every day. Our condo was clean except the clothes washer and dryer. They both had sand in and around them and the dryer lint trap was damaged and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Additionally, the secondary bath room sink and bath tub drains were very slow and need to be cleaned out of hair and sand. Except for the above issues we had a really good time and would stay at the condo again. We took one day and went to the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola and it was well worth the trip. Also, it is free to attend the museum.

I chose to rent this unit because it was renovated, but it actually was not worth the extra money. The condo was not cleaned well, it had black curly hairs in the tub when we got there, and I was trying to put my baby in the bathtub. The air vents rattled so loud the sound machine could not even cover up the sound. The showers are old and the shower head was so low with low water pressure. I had to sit on my knees to wash my hair. The king bed had deep indentions on both sides and I hurt my back while sleeping in it. There is only one set of elevators in the huge condo and we had to wait 45 minutes to get an elevator on Saturday morning when we were checking out. It was a nightmare, especially with children. The condo is on the opposite end of the elevators so we had to walk far. I would be more understanding about some of these things if I had not paid so much money to stay here. It is not worth the money or high rate. We also had to pay an additional $55 to park one car. The couch was oily.
Positives- splash pad was fun for kids and the pool was fun lit up at night. The kitchen remodel was pretty and I liked the floors.

When we arrived it was between 930 and 10pm. The condo was beautiful and was just as the pictures showed. Then it was all down hill! After an all day travel I found urine stains on the bedsheets which lead me to have to spend my night washing everyone's bed linens. Then the towels from the previous guests. If that wasn't bad enough they are real quick to write warnings and tickets for $75 over simple things. My daughter's parking pass was upside down in her window- warning fix it or pay $75. Get to the condo another warning because we attached the kids life jackets to the railing as all others we had seen do. No no next time $75 fine. Then you go to cook and cam not find anything. Low and behold it was all in the dishwasher dirty! So I had to wash pots and pans from other people to just be able to cook a meal. Ot was such a nightmare that we left a day early. When contacted by the host her only reply was "I'm sorry" well the owners might want to look into a new host! The housekeeping is beyond lacking and the security is ticket happy. If I wanted the spend my vacation cleaning I would have stayed home and cleaned my own house. Again, the condo was stunning the rest just eas less rhen

Condo was very comfortable. We did not have AC for the first three days witch made it very hot and sticky. I would like to be reimburse money back for that. Also shower curtain in master bath had mold on it witch was removed and a new one put in. Everyone was very nice to deal with.

We were not informed in advance that there would be no access to our patio during the day, and that the noise would make condo uninhabitable during the day.

We rented this unit for a girl’s’ trip and were not disappointed in anything. Beautiful decor(classy with solid furniture),an amazing view, and the most comfortable mattresses EVER, made our time together relaxing and memorable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They came by upon our entering the unit to check that amenities, televisions, etc. were in working order and in good shape. We had easy access to the pool and beach. Elevators were prompt, facility was very clean and updated. Also loved that we had our own parking spot in the garage. We will be back again. Thank you!!

Overall the room was great, could use some new mattresses, bed were very hard.

There are not enough adjectives to describe what a wonderful and relaxing unit this is !! We have been staying on the Alabama Gulf Coast since the early nineties. This is by far the best unit we have stayed in. Furnishings and decor are updated. If that wasn’t enough we had one underground parking spot. Phoenix V is very well kept on the outside and the staff are very professional and friendly. Location is centrally located to restaurants, entertainment and more. Will definitely stay in this unit again.

This is our second year staying in this gorgeous condo, and we plan on coming back next summer as well. The Escues have decorated it beautifully and included everything needed to enjoy a wonderful week at the beach with our family. Thank you for another opportunity to make memories with our kids!

We have a great vacation, the condo was clean and well stocked. The pools were clean and well maintained. We were very happy with everything.

Awesome, comfortable condo. Perfect condition, beds were all comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with all we needed for a week stay. We cooked and washed clothes just like we would at home. This condo comes with a covered parking space too - this was excellent as we had a few days of heavy rain showers. We will stay again at Phoenix V 616! Thank you to the owners for taking pride in your place.

We stayed February-March 12 and were comfortable and felt at home. The updates are perfect, especially the new bathroom cabinets , countertops, and bedroom(s) new furniture. We found the couch pretty but not as comfortable as it should be, though. Just 2 suggestions! Hooks on the bathroom door, please! And the bathroom fan is stuck from the spraying of the ceiling. These few things were not enough to stop us from booking for 2023, though. We booked Jan-Feb, 2023.

We just returned from a week in Orange Beach and this condo was great! The condo was very clean upon our arrival. The decor was beautiful with a calming atmosphere. The beds were the most comfort beds we have ever had in a condo or motel. The condo was roomy and had an excellent view of the gulf. Great location with restaurants and shopping close by. We will definitely stay here again!

The condo is exactly as pictured and was spotless. The beds were comfortable and the ocean view was amazing! Location was convenient to all the best restaurants, etc. We had a perfect stay!

The condo itself was nice and mostly updated. My biggest complaints were the bathrooms. The showers were a struggle to use, were older, and the shower head was so low that if you are taller than 5', you'll have to bend over. However, the rest of the condo was in good shape and the beds where comfortable. The property itself had nice amenities and the kids enjoyed them daily. However, this property was less kid friendly than I was hoping and we had to suffer through nightly parties in pool area and balconies, so except very little sleep. Security was quick to break up a party in the pool area when it was late. Lastly, plan on using the stairs. The wait for the elevator was greater than 5 minutes between the hours of 9-10am and 4-6pm.

The stay was amazing and everything was just as described. The room was clean and the easy access of the keypad on the door was a great added feature.

My family and I stayed in this condo the week of June 13, 2021. The location and beach were great. The condo was fairly clean. The pool could use some updating/repairs. Please be aware that you are given very little necessity items. After the first day, I had to go and purchase toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dish washing detergent as well as garbage bags. I was a little surprised because I have rented several condos in the past and was always supplied the necessities. So if you rent this condo, please be prepared. The pictures do this condo a lot of justice.

My family of 6 had a wonderful stay. Great proximity to beach and shopping. New HOA took over and their staff were less than helpful upon arrival, and I witnessed some rude behavior directed to another guest,however the owner was quick to respond to any issue and have a lovely condo

Sometimes it is a gamble as to what you find in a rental when going by photos or agency person. That is why I titled my review “Pleasantly Surprised”. Could not have had a more satisfied experience except for two things which didn’t involve unit. Complex needs to update their chaise loungers around pool and less breakdown of their four elevators

After researching where to stay and seeing so many different reviews complaining about uncomfortable beds, mold in rooms, bugs, and dirty dishes, etc., we were very happy to see that this condo exceeded our expectations! I immediately texted the owner to let her know how beautifully decorated and clean it was. The view was breathtaking from both the bedroom and the living room. The beds in the bedrooms were very comfortable and had their own bathrooms. The young lady at the front desk when we arrived was very friendly and informative. We did our best to treat it as our own.
