Phoenix West 503

We had a great stay at Phoenix West! The only thing I would like to mention is the mattresses need replacing. There were huge dips in the beds, so much so that we had to sleep with our heads at the foot of the beds. Also the floors were not very clean as our feet were black from just walking around in the condo. Other than that everything was nice!

Everything was very good. The owners may want to upgrade the mattress in the master bed room. It is worn, lumpy and uncomfortable. The complex needs to step up and replace and increase the number of chairs by the pool and lazy river. There are way too few for the number of guests. We first stayed at rhis resort in 2011 and we can say that over allit has been well maintained.

It was a beautiful condo! In the Master Bath, there was a horrible high-pitched humming sound in the ceiling. We believe it was coming from the condo above, maybe their HVAC system because it would be mostly on, but sometimes quiet. We had to keep the bathroom fan running & door shut to try to drown it out. Otherwise, the condo was perfect for our family. Management didn’t check wristbands all week, then on Friday morning as I was going to put chairs out, a very rude older man would not let me enter the pool area w/o my band. I said it’s one thing to say no, but there’s no need to be rude & he smarted off to me again. Ironically when I came back down with my wristband, no one was monitoring the gate for the remainder of the day. They decided to maintenance elevators during the peak use time (4 elevators for 27 floors) which created long wait times. Without those 2 negatives, all would have been 5 stars.

We enjoyed our stay in this rental and our only complaint was that the floors were absolutely filthy. After walking around barefoot in the condo our feet were literally black with grime. Everything else was great and no other cleanliness issues. Condo is spacious and has all the comforts of home. The grandkids loved the water slide and the beach was great!

We have stayed at Phoenix West the last ten years. We love this condo as it is perfect for our extended family.

We had a great time. The condo was very clean and well-stocked. We loved parking on the 5th floor. We had a great time in the lazy river and pool. We will definitely rent this condo again. Working with Charlotte was great -- she was very responsive and answered all our questions.

Beautiful condo, loved being on the 5th floor! All the beds were very comfortable & we had plenty of towels. Loved the lazy river and the beach was close. Hope to book this share condo next year!

Check in went smooth. Room was ready about 3pm!! We were able to purchase extra parking pass! Unit on 5th Floor..were able to park on 5th and go straight to room from garage.

This is the second time we have stayed in 503. We love it there. The condo is clean and comfortable for our family. This year the owner left a welcome letter and gift which was unexpected, but really enjoyed . We hope to be able to stay there in the future.

Even though this was a great place for us we found it to not be clean at all. We had to wear our shoes at all times or our feet would be black. Also one of the blankets had a spot of which seemed to be food. When we washed it the spot came out. There was trash on the floors when we arrived. We've never stayed at a place this dirty before.

We will definitely be booking again. This unit was more than what we had expected. It was clean, well stocked, and the views were absolutely amazing. This was our first time to Orange Beach and our first time renting from Phoenix. We will be back and are currently looking at renting for next year.

Everything was easy, from making reservations to checking out. We had a fun time!

No problems renting or checking in to room. The room was very dusty. Floors were dirty. Television in guest bedroom did not work. The screen on the sliding door was coming apart. Other than these things we had a good time. This unit probably needs a refreshing of new paint, furniture, and decor.

We were in town for a wedding and this condo was perfect. It was spacious and provided everything we needed. Amenities were great! Charlotte was particularly wonderful and helpful. Thank you.

Had a great week at the Phoenix West. This is our 2nd time staying here but first in this condo. Love all the phoenix resorts. Condo 503 needs a little TLC. Painting , holes fixed, couch cleaned and a good cleaning...the door to the furnace unit was covered in dust. I had to clean that it was disgusting and all the vents in bathrooms need to be cleaned. I took picture of prints on wall (thought one was going to come out of wall and I wanted proof that it was like that when we got there). TV in bedroom on left didn't work (no batteries in remote) and the room is very dark. Need a mirror in the bedroom do to the small bathroom. All in all it was a great week and condo but just needs a good deep cleaning and TLC

Not as clean as we would have liked

We had a great time! Kids loved the slide, lazy river and the ocean! Our place was large enough to accommodate all of our family.

The condo itself was beautiful, very clean! The only issues we had were the passcode for the condo expired prior to us checking out and we had to be careful not to lock ourselves out. The double doors to the master would not stay closed but this was not a big deal. Also, Brett Robinson staff who work there do not manage this condo so they were not able to assist me with another item, they told me I had to call the number on the reservation directly, the problem is that we had to check out at 10:00 and the office doesn’t open until noon on Sundays. Again, the condo itself was beautiful and very well kept.

Wonderful condo and beautiful beach. We have stayed in many condos but we have enjoyed this one the most. We’ve stayed here many years in a row.

The amenities were fair at best. Condo was very out dated and not very clean. Showers had mold and some bedding was soiled

Condo in great location. Kitchen well stocked with dishes, pots, pans. Mostly clean, but signs of previous guests and bed coverings could either use cleaning or replacement. I notified management and received cordial response. Hopefully the next guest will benefit from it!

It was not very clean, two of the showers had no shower drapes, and the
Kitchen was in need of more pans and cooking utensils, the patio door needs some adjustment as you needed to put your whole body into it to open and close it. There was plenty of extra pillows but we could not find one pillow case to put on them, I don’t mean to complain about the condo but I was asked about my experience, Don’t get me wrong it is a nice place it just needs someone to oversee these things, we travel quite a bit and normally don’t have these issues.

Our family of 12 includes 2 teen girls and 4 boys 6 and under. The unit had plenty of room to move around. The lazy river and hot tubs were also a great hit

I took my children and grand babies to the beach and this condo was great for that and we all had enough room where we weren't stepping on each other the whole time. The grandkids loved the waterslide. We loved that the lazy river connects so we could keep our eye on them but still have fun too. The beach was perfect. Picked up some great shells and went crabbing at night. Great Condo. We always stay with Phoenix Rentals. They always do a good job.

Phoenix West is a great, well kept facility. The staff is helpful, the security is friendly and accommodating, and the pools are clean with beautiful landscaping. Elevators, parking, and grill area are easily accessible.

I enjoyed my stay at this unit. Everything was nice and clean. My only suggestion for a unit that accommodates 14 people should provide more towels. Other than that, it was beautiful.

WE had a wonderful time, great location and the property is just awesome. Kids did not want to leave.

Stayed here for 5 nights and slept in the most comfortable condo beds I’ve ever slept in. Condo was super clean and large enough to accommodate 12 for our large family vacation. The only complaint is the hot water. 10/12 family members had to take cold showers because there was only enough hot water for 2 hot showers. When you have 4 full bathrooms and a condo that sleeps 12 people maybe should have thought about a tankless hot water heater.

We had an amazing time in GS! Our condo was everything we hoped it would be! We got to meet Mark when we first checked in (I guess the people that stayed before us got a little rowdy as a picture fell off the wall & a table was stained with white goop, but he assured me someone would be by to fix everything & they were). The view from our balcony was breathtaking! Being on the 5th floor was awesome, it was so convenient having our own parking level & not having to wait days for an elevator like you do on higher floors. The ice maker was fantastic as we were there for a baseball tournament. The condo had everything we needed. The lazy river & pool were refreshing & nice after a day at the beach, the front desk staff was helpful & kind. Felt just like home! Can't wait to go back!

The owner left her little touches everywhere from seasonings found in the cupboard to a well stocked kitchen with everything we needed to cook several great meals during our stay. We love the 5th floor being able to park and head right in with our shopping bags and luggage. The views were great. A little on the cold side during our stay but better than it was back home.

The condo was beautiful and it was everything that was advertised. The communication was excellent and we were very pleased. I rated the property a 3 for cleanliness for 2 reasons only. 1) The carpet was very dirty. 2) the mirror and frame in the master bath had not been completely cleaned. Otherwise we were very satisfied. One other suggestion. I did not read (although it may have been in an e-mail) that we needed to bring towels for the pool. This would have been very helpful to know ahead of time. Thank you!!!!

Cayce was excellent to work with and this condo had a beautiful view from the balcony! There were lots of extra activities available like board games, children's books, magazines, etc that were a wonderful surprise! Quality rental! Would love to come back and stay again!! Thank you!!

This unit is beautifully appointed, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. All three bedrooms were comfortable and had attached baths. There was also a 3 piece bath with shower in the hall where the washer and dryer were. We had enough space for our families gathered.

We stayed one week in this condo and it was absolutely wonderful. Very clean and comfortable. Really liked that the rooms are inside which I find it helps from bringing in too much sand in the room. Also the short boardwalk was nice. Best condo we have ever stayed in. Also special thanks to Cayce Cooks with Phoenix Vacation Rentals for answering my my call on Labor Day weekend and assisting us with a small parking issue. Would definitely stay in this condo again and book with Cayce

Love the layout and that they had enough beds for all our guest.

Love the location of this condo! Not only can you park on the 5th floor entry, but it's close to everything! I love that the 5th floor was high enough for an amazing view, but low enough that you could take the stairs down if the elevators were full (which was often!) the lazy river is nice and the slide was great for the kids. The big pool was awesome for little kids because they could stand in it even if they couldn't swim. Loved this place!!!!

This is a great rental property. Very spacious. Nice that it is on the 5th floor because elevators can be busy so it's easy to walk the flights to the room. I would definitely recommend staying here. So much for the family and kids to do.

A great place to stay with lots to do close by. Very easy to get to and the pools and lazy river gave us options on days the surf was a little rough.

Very fun Christmas vacation. Best unit we've stayed at for Christmas. Only recommendation would be to upgrade the master bedroom blanket, its too thin. The throw pillows for the couch are dirty and have a little smell to them. They just need cleaning. Overall great rental.

We love the location of this condo. We had a great time with some minor infractions. The furniture is old and worn out: the legs are bent on the couch and chairs, the patio chairs were worn out, etc. The condo was left a little on the dirty side with a bag left from the cleaning crew and a clogged bathtub. (Easy fixes). Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We would stay again, and hopefully by then there will be new or fixed furniture!

The condo was exactly as described in the listing and shown in the pictures. It was our first time at Phoenix West and the property and amenities were also exactly as shown in the pictures.

Great location with easy access to Walmart Neighborhood Market, Publix, and a quick drive to Gulf Shores.

We usually don't do the tours, boat rides, or parasailing, but did do the zip line at the state park and loved it.

The only thing keeping this from being a 5* review is the king bed in the master. It is horrible. The master bedroom/bathroom overall is very nice, but the bed is extremely uncomfortable. No support at all. The pillows are also terrible, basically hotel quality meaning no support whatsoever. It's like sleeping with no pillow. Vacation time is supposed to be relaxing and refreshing but we woke up achy and exhausted every morning because we got a terrible night's sleep. With as nice as everything is in the unit you would assume the owners could afford and would invest in a quality mattress, monitor the condition and replace as needed.

Phoenix Rentals was easy to work with and check it was very easy. The unit had a code for unlocking the door. Not having to worry about losing a key was nice and you can program the door for whatever code you like.

As much as we liked the condo overall I would not rent this unit again unless they replaced the mattress.
